Job Introduction About us:
Aspens Services Ltd is a market-leading contract catering company specialising in school food. By combining our understanding of the education sector with our knowledge of what’s on trend in the food world, we encourage creativity and excitement in our kitchens. This allows our teams to do what they do best and provide fantastic food experiences for the children.
By providing excellent care and services to both clients and children, we have ensured the successful growth of the company, and to keep up with the rapid pace of this growth, we are now looking for a Catering Assistant to join the team.
The role:
As a Catering Assistant, you will support the team in basic food preparation, deliver meals from one school to another, and provide excellent service to both students and staff.
Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Working on the tills during service (full training will be provided)
  • Cleaning duties within the kitchen
  • Ensuring Health & safety compliance is met
  • Providing a friendly and polite customer service for all
About you
We need someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools, along with the following skills and experience:
  • A full UK driving license
  • Previous catering experience
  • You’ve worked as part of a team before in a fast-paced environment
  • You have your Food Hygiene level 2 (preferred, but not essential as training will be given)
  • You have basic knowledge of health and safety practices

This role is:
  • 15 hours per week, with no late nights
  • Working 38 weeks per year based around term time – what could you do with all that time off?
