East Ayrshire Council is seeking part-time food preparation assistants to support meal planning and service in schools. The roles are temporary, focused on part-time hours during term time, ensuring adherence to safety standards with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire to support the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
The duties of this post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment can be made. PVG records are constantly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.
