Adecco is recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our client’s vibrant team in the United Kingdom. This role runs Monday to Friday, 8am to 3pm, with responsibilities across food prep, service and customer interaction.

You will assist chefs, maintain kitchen and dining areas, handle tills and cash, and ensure health and safety standards. The ideal candidate brings hospitality experience, strong communication, and a flexible, team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering or food service role is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of food to customers
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas
• Support chefs and kitchen staff in daily operations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service, enhancing the dining experience
• Taking orders using tills - must be comfortable with cash handling
