Devonport House is a residential life house accommodating 60 homeless individuals. We are seeking flexible, enthusiastic, and reliable people to join our bank of relief general assistant (catering) workers, who help support our existing team as and when required and provide cover for holidays and absence.

While we are not able to guarantee any work, as a busy homeless hostel, we are generally able to offer shifts to all relief workers on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties include supporting the preparation of healthy and nutritious food and working as part of the catering team. You will also serve clients with courtesy and respect.

The successful candidate(s) will demonstrate:

• Awareness of current health, safety, environmental health, and hygiene standards, including COSHH.
• Relevant cooking experience.
• Good customer service and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Ability to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army.
