A leading council in Scotland is seeking a catering assistant for a sessional post during school term time. The role involves providing quality catering services while adhering to health and safety regulations. Candidates must hold a valid Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate and be prepared for a role that involves working with vulnerable groups.
The salary advertised is for a full-time position (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours/sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £12.96 - £13.78
This is a 38-week sessional post, meaning working hours will be during school term time only.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday, 11:30-14:00
Friday, 09:30-11:30
Start date: August 2025.
Essential Requirement: All applicants must hold an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2). This can be obtained online from various training providers.
Assist in providing a quality catering and function service in accordance with relevant legislative requirements, including health and safety, food hygiene, and hazard analysis within the food industry.

PVG Membership: This role is considered a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
