Job summary

Babington Academy in Leicester invites applications for a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support the Chef and Assistant Cook in delivering a high-quality catering service to all pupils and staff.

You will handle general kitchen duties, including cleaning, on a weekly rota and must meet basic food safety requirements; training will be provided if needed. Hours are 23.75 per week, term-time (38 weeks per year), with a pro-rated salary and access to LGPS and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school/education catering environment is desirable.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge preferred but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef and Assistant Cook in providing high-quality catering for pupils and staff.
• Carry out general kitchen duties including cleaning on a weekly rota.
• Ensure compliance with catering policies and health and safety guidelines.
