Job summary

Green & Fortune is hiring a friendly Catering Assistant to join our hospitality team across five iconic London venues. You will support buffet setup, assist with beverage service, and ensure food safety and cleanliness during events.

We offer a London Living Wage of £14.90 per hour, an average of 30 hours per week with additional events, staff discounts, and a range of wellbeing and development benefits. Eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in hospitality or food service is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work with guests.
• Willingness to work weekends and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up buffets and food service stations.
• Handle, transport, and store food according to safety standards.
• Assist with beverage service and topping up guests' drinks.
• Keep event areas clean and hygienic per Health and Safety rules.
• Respond to guest requests and relay to management.
• Maintain stocked stations and clear unnecessary items.
• Store banqueting equipment correctly and tidy storage areas.

CATERING ASSISTANT

We have an amazing opportunity for a welcoming and friendly Catering Assistant to join our Green & Fortune team.

THE PERSON AND ROLE

Below is a list of core responsibilities for this role specifically:

• To support the management in preparing and setting up buffets and/or other special food service tables/stations.
• Ensuring that food is always handled, transported, and stored in accordance with food safety and Health and Safety standards.
• Working in all tea, coffee points from the builiding
• To ensure that all events areas are clean and hygienic in order to comply with the Health and Safety regulations.
• To assist with clearing and cleaning where necessary during service.
• To assist with topping up guests' drinks when necessary.
• To acknowledge and respond to all guest requests and inquiries by bringing them to the attention of the management.
• To constantly patrol assigned stations, refill beverages, and remove unnecessary service items and condiments.
• To ensure that all banqueting equipment is stored correctly and that all banqueting aisles and storage areas are kept clean and organized.
