Job summary

Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd is seeking reliable Catering Assistants to work in schools across Cambridge. Roles are Monday to Friday with morning shifts and regular weekday work. DBS check (Enhanced with Update Service) is essential, with potential overseas checks for non-UK residents.

Right to work in the UK and a team-focused, professional attitude are required. Responsibilities include food service, setting up dining areas, kitchen duties and adherence to hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, hospitality or kitchen experience.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service - essential.
• Overseas police check may be required if you are not a British citizen or have lived/worked overseas
• Right to work in the UK
• Reliable and punctual
• Professional attitude and good communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving food and beverages
• Assisting with breakfast and lunch service
• Setting up and clearing dining areas
• Washing up and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
• Following food hygiene, health & safety and allergen procedures
• Providing friendly and professional service to students and staff
