Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £21,335

Hours: 40h per week

A private co-educational day school situated in Mottingham, southeast London, for students aged 7 - 18 years. Catering for just under 1500 students and teachers, offering lunch and high-end hospitality. This is a term-time contract with benefits including free parking.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a General Assistant to join our team in London.

You should have experience working in a fast-paced catering environment, enjoy working with a team, and be passionate about food and customer service.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, and cleaning.
  • Prepare service areas for meal service.
  • Set up, serve, clear, clean, and store food, beverages, or equipment for functions.
  • Prepare basic food following hygiene and safety standards.
  • Restock during service to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Manage waste and recycling appropriately.
  • Occasionally work evenings or weekends for events.
  • Adhere to food standards and control wastage.
  • Follow food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen procedures.

Skills required:

  • Teamwork, good listening skills, initiative, personal presentation, hygiene, and behavior.
  • Food hygiene certification preferred.
  • Reliability, honesty, adaptability, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy items.
  • Good verbal and written English skills.
  • Experience in customer service or food prep is preferred.
