Job description

We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Catering Assistant to join our team at the Restaurant in Houghton Hall Garden Centre.

Our competitive pay rates range from £10 to £12.25 per hour, depending on age.

The role involves 40 hours per week over 5 days, including weekends, so flexibility is essential.

The Role

As a Catering Assistant, your responsibility is to support the kitchen team in preparing excellent meals for our customers.

What will you be doing as a Catering Assistant?

• Support in all areas of food production using fresh ingredients.
• Preparing hot and cold snacks and deli items to order.
• Conducting food preparation checks in accordance with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Cleaning all back-of-house and kitchen preparation areas and equipment.
• Closing the back-of-house area daily to meet company standards.
