Job summary

Klondyke Garden Centres is seeking a Full Time Permanent Catering Assistant for our Restaurant at Mortonhall Garden Centre. The role supports the kitchen team, preparing meals to order and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

You will work 40 hours per week over five days, with weekend shifts required. We offer competitive pay (£10.40-£12.75 per hour depending on age), generous annual leave and staff discounts.

Responsibilities

• Support in all areas of food production using fresh ingredients.
• Prepare hot and cold snacks and deli items to order.
• Carry out food hygiene checks and maintain safety standards.
• Clean back of house and kitchen preparation areas and equipment.
• Close back of house daily to company standards.
