Job summary

Falkirk Council is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to join our Facilities (Soft FM) team. Based at Whitecross Primary School, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals in a fast-paced school environment and support colleagues across the Falkirk area.

The role involves 15 hours per week, term-time work, and is part-time and permanent. Training is provided; PVG membership may be required and cost borne by the employer.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is welcome but not essential; full training will be provided.
• PVG scheme membership is required and the cost is covered by the employer.

Join Our Facilities Team - Catering Assistant

We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our Facilities (Soft FM) team, supporting schools and other Council sites across the Falkirk area. In this role, you'll help prepare and serve meals that are nutritious, appealing, and delivered with care.

Who We're Looking For: Previous experience is welcome but not essential - full training will be provided. Most important is your positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well with others. If you're organised, customer-focused and enjoy working as part of a team, you'll thrive in this role.

The Role:

• Location: Whitecross Primary School
• Hours: 15 hours per week
• Days: Monday to Friday, 10.50am to 1.50pm
• Contract: Term Time, Part Time, Permanent
• Team: Part of a wider Facilities team delivering catering across the area
