Job summary

Bellrock Group is seeking a Catering Assistant for The Café at The Hive in Worcester. You will support daily café operations, prepare food and beverages, and ensure high standards of service and hygiene. You will also handle bookings and assist with events across The Hive building.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, retail or food service is preferred.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene standards and allergen awareness is expected.
• Experience with cash handling and operating a POS system is beneficial.
• Experience preparing hot drinks and using commercial coffee equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve hot/cold food and drinks to daily café customers with friendly, efficient service.
• Accurately take orders and handle cash and card payments.
• Keep the café areas clean and tidy to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Prepare menu items such as pastries, salads and toasties while following hygiene rules.
• Handwash cookware, operate the dishwasher and keep surfaces clean and organised.
• Monitor food temperatures and allergen guidance to ensure safety.
• Prepare and deliver food, drinks and tableware for hospitality bookings across the building.
• Ensure meeting room refreshments and event orders are delivered punctually.
• Clear away setups and restore meeting spaces promptly after bookings conclude.
