Job summary

Sanctuary Care Limited is seeking a Catering Assistant for Rushyfields in Brandon—Brandon Lane, Durham. The role focuses on supporting the catering team with basic prep and meal service for residents, upholding high hygiene standards, and keeping dining areas clean and welcoming.

You will work 28.5 hours with no late nights or split shifts, ideal for a caring individual committed to resident well-being and teamwork in a supportive care environment.

Qualifications

• Caring and enthusiastic approach to care for residents.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with colleagues.
• Understanding of safe food handling and hygiene practices.
• Previous catering experience and/or willingness to obtain a food hygiene certificate.
• Clear communication skills and flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering team with basic food preparation and meal service.
• Present and serve meals to a high standard for residents.
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
