Job summary

GLL is seeking a Catering Assistant for Rivermead Leisure Centre in Reading. You will support the café and team, handling food and drink preparation, service, and customer care. Qualifications

• Customer service-oriented and friendly with visitors and customers.
• Good multitasking abilities in a busy café environment.
• Willingness to participate in training and adhere to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly and welcoming face to visitors and customers at the facility.
• Undertake the preparation, serving, and delivery of food and drinks.
• Participate in the production and service standards of the café, ensuring high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with food safety laws and maintain them.
• Comply with GLL and Hub policies.
• Actively contribute to the development of café service.
• Undertake card payments.
• Attend meetings/training and be part of the facility team.
• Work as part of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
• Provide excellent customer care and have good multi-tasking skills.
• Follow all Normal & Emergency Operating Procedures as well as adhering to relevant product manuals.
• Fully participate in and engage in training through centre-based training and ongoing assessment of performance.
