Job Description

The Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team. The department, renowned for excellence in teaching and research, offers a vibrant academic environment within the School of Biological Sciences.

The Catering Assistant will be responsible for setting up and clearing service areas, assisting with food preparation, serving food, operating tills, cleaning, restocking, and monitoring food temperatures in our small catering facility located in the Tennis Court Road buildings (Sanger and Hopkins).

The ideal candidate will have a positive, customer-service-oriented attitude, good communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and good time management skills. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
