Catering Assistant – Cenarth Primary School

Please note that the advertised salary for this position is subject to a pending pay award. The final salary will be adjusted in line with the nationally agreed pay award.

We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our team at Cenarth Primary School, on a permanent, part-time basis, 3.2 hours per week on Fridays.

The role includes:

  1. general kitchen duties including washing up equipment and utensils and the cleaning of all areas and surrounds
  2. maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen at all times
  3. ensuring observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  1. perform general kitchen duties including washing up equipment and utensils and cleaning all areas and surrounds
  2. set up tables and clear as required
  3. record the temperature of food
  4. ensure observance of Food Safety and Environmental Health standards
  5. ensure compliance with EEC standards on Manual Handling
  6. manage general Health and Safety in the kitchen, including hazardous equipment
