Wellspring Academy Trust is seeking a proactive Catering Assistant for Victoria Primary Academy in Leeds. This part-time role offers opportunities for those passionate about nutrition and working in an educational environment. ABOUT THE VACANCY:
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Assistant to support the Catering Lead in providing high-quality meals to pupils at Victoria Primary Academy in Leeds.
Location:
The role will be based at Victoria Primary Academy in Leeds.
Working pattern:
This role is during term time, plus two additional weeks for staff training. The extra days can be annualised or worked during school holidays/flexibly.
ABOUT US:
We offer daytime working hours (no weekends or evenings) and can provide flexibility to accommodate existing commitments, such as child collection times. We also offer work arrangements that fit around school holidays for childcare (summer, half terms, Easter, and Christmas).

We are committed to ensuring children receive nutritious school meals. An interest in nutrition and healthy meals is important. Previous catering experience is desirable, and experience working in educational settings would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will support the preparation and delivery of lunchtime menus, work as part of a team, and perform duties in the catering department to ensure high customer service standards. They will also undertake high-quality cleaning routines and adhere to procedures such as health and safety, allergen control, food safety, and stock management.
Flexibility to meet the needs of learners and the team is essential. Food Safety Level 2 training is desirable or willingness to undertake it. Computer skills are also beneficial.
