Modern Apprentice Catering Assistant

Band 2 £24,647 - £26,763 (pro rata)

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 (pro rata)

30 hours per week

Fixed Term Contract for 2 years

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Catering Assistant (modern apprentice) within the Catering department at the Western Isles Hospital.

Duties could be in any section of the department and will include food preparation and cooking (including specialised diets), food & counter service, stock control & maintaining a high standard of hygiene throughout the department. It is anticipated that formal catering qualification, along with allergen awareness and food hygiene certificates will be achieved during the 2 year duration of the post.

It is essential that candidates have a keen interest in the catering sector, good communication skills, and a self motivated approach to work. If you are looking to get a start in the catering industry under the guidance of an experienced team then this opportunity might be for you.

This post is not eligible for a Health & Care Worker Visa.
