Modern Apprentice Catering Assistant

Band 2 £24,647 - £26,763 (pro rata)

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,349 (pro rata)

30 hours per week

Fixed Term Contract for 2 years

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Catering Assistant (modern apprentice) within the Catering department at the Uist & Barra Hospital.

Duties could be in any section of the department and will include food preparation and cooking (including specialised diets), food & counter service, stock control & maintaining a high standard of hygiene throughout the department. It is anticipated that formal a catering qualification, along with allergen awareness and food hygiene certificates will be achieved during the 2 year duration of the post.

It is essential that candidates have a keen interest in the catering sector, good communication skills, and a self motivated approach to work. If you are looking to get a start in the catering industry under the guidance of an experienced team then this opportunity might be for you.

This post is not eligible for a Health & Care Worker Visa.
