Catering Assistant

Location: Birchwood Court Residential Care Home, Seaside Lane, Easington Colliery, Peterlee, County Durham
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Positions available: 2 (one for 10 hours/week, one for 21 hours/week)

Your Role

As a Catering Assistant, your duties include food preparation, presenting meals to a high standard, and serving residents, all in accordance with food hygiene legislation. You will work as part of a team to provide excellent food and service, contributing to our residents’ daily enjoyment.

Skills & Qualifications

We value teamwork, caring attitude, enthusiasm, and energy. Previous catering experience and a food hygiene certificate are desirable but not essential; support and training are provided. Good communication skills and a flexible approach are important, along with a genuine respect for older people.
