Job summary

Compass Group UK & Ireland, operating the Taste Café inside Sainsbury's Penzance Superstore, is seeking a Catering Assistant to join a friendly, fast-paced team. You will help serve customers, prepare food and drinks, and contribute to a welcoming café experience for shoppers from Penzance and the surrounding area.

You will work to high standards of cleanliness and food safety, handle till transactions, and assist the team during busy periods.

Catering Assistant - Taste Café, Sainsbury's Penzance

As a Catering Assistant at the Taste Café within Sainsbury's Penzance Superstore, you'll be part of a friendly and fast-paced team serving customers from Penzance and the surrounding local communities. You’ll play an important role in creating a positive café experience for shoppers, whether they’re enjoying a morning coffee, a light lunch, or taking a break during their visit. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food and drinks for our customers.
• Creating attractive food and counter displays that enhance the customer experience.

• Maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for customers and colleagues.
• Supporting your team to ensure the café operates smoothly during busy periods.
