Job summary

Amey is seeking a Catering Assistant for Todholm Primary School in Paisley. The role is part-time, 15 hours per week, term-time only, on-site. You will assist with food prep, cooking basics, serving meals, cleaning, and cash handling in a school catering environment.

We value highly organized, customer-focused individuals who can work well in a team and adapt to a school setting. PVG checks apply and training will be provided.

• Basic preparation of food and drinks.
• Preparation of vegetables and snacks.
• Simple cooking of food (including heating/reconstitution of convenience foods).
• Washing up and clearing away equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food and drinks.
• Cook simple items and reheat foods as required.
• Serve meals and manage counters or trays.
• Wash dishes and clean the kitchen area.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Catering Assistant to join our team in Todholm Primary School, Lochfield Rd, Paisley PA2 7JE

The standard hours of work are 15 hours per week (shift pattern Monday to Friday 10.45am - 2pm (inc 15 min unpaid break) term time only)

What you will do:

• Basic preparation of food and drinks Preparation of vegetables and snacks.
• Simple cooking of food (including the heating and/or reconstitution of convenience foods and vegetables)
• Transportation and serving of meals (including the packing and unpacking of food into containers)
• Washing up and clearing away equipment
• Cash handling
• Cleaning of the kitchen, its surrounds and the equipment
