Job Description
A stunning B&I location in Northampton for a UK-based trade & retail company. Catering for approximately 900 people daily.
This is a 24/7 operation with catering offered from 7am onwards.
There are daily hospitality requests at this location.
This is a 7-day-a-week operation, so working patterns will be 5 days out of 7.
Working hours for this role are 11:30 a.m - 7:00 p.m.
Overtime is available at weekends.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious contracts in Northampton.
Role requirements (Tasks & Responsibilities):
- Serve clients during breakfast, lunch, or dinner service, fulfilling excellent customer service.
- Prepare food for hospitality, following good hygiene and safety practices and to the standard specified.
- Ensure the kitchen is always clean and tidy to the standard of the Chef Manager or hygiene standards set by the company/client.
- Clear, clean, and store away any food, beverage, or equipment required for special functions.
- Restock and replenish stocks and consumables as required during service periods to achieve optimum customer service delivery.
- Operate cleaning and dishwashing equipment. Properly clean and store equipment, service, preparation, and storage areas.
- Complete all necessary cleaning/hygiene duties.
- Interact and acknowledge all customers and client staff.
General Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of legislation and company standards to promote a professional and flexible approach.
- Wear the correct uniform neatly and cleanly at all times.
- Carry out all necessary checks in the service and related areas for food temperatures.
- Respond to all reasonable requests from management.
- Report any hazards related to Health & Safety to the manager.
Key personal skills and attributes:
- Previous experience in a catering environment.
- Experience serving customers within a catering establishment.
- Teamworking abilities, good listening skills, ability to work on own initiative, impeccable personal presentation, hygiene, and behavior. Food hygiene certificate preferred.
- Adaptability, flexibility, reliability, honesty, and a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take responsibility.
- Ability to manage some moderately heavy lifting, carrying, and pushing.
Knowledge / competencies:
- Good understanding and use of verbal English.
- Good standard of written English and reading skills.
- Experience in customer service and/or food preparation is preferred.
