Job summary

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) invites applications for a Catering Assistant based in Newcastle. The role is part-time (16 hours per week) during term-time (36 weeks) with shifts 10:15am–1:30pm, Monday to Friday, in our food hall service, handling payments and maintaining cleanliness.

Duties include preparing basic food items, serving food and taking cash, and keeping all catering areas clean.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 2 Food Preparation & Cooking or equivalent.
• Experience of working in a catering environment or customer service.
• Is energetic, enthusiastic and well-motivated towards providing excellent food and customer service.

Salary - £24,455 pro rata (actual salary - £8,541 per annum)

Location: Newcastle

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding catering department at Newcastle. Duties include working in the College’s food hall service enabling the sale of food to students and staff, taking payments and using a till and keeping areas clean.
