Job summary

St Paul’s Catholic School in Milton Keynes is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to support the preparation and serving of school meals for primary and secondary pupils. Initially you will work at Bow Brickhill Primary School.

The role is part-time (10 hours per week), term time plus one extra week, with shifts Monday to Friday 11:30am–1:30pm. A passion for teamwork and basic meal prep is desired.

Qualifications

• Experience with preparing meals, making sandwiches and serving food.
• Ability to work in a busy school kitchen and maintain hygiene.
• Reliable and enthusiastic team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and serving of school lunches for pupils.
• Support the catering department in service and delivery of meals; initially at Bow Brickhill Primary School.

1 Year Fixed Term from September 2026

Salary: St Paul’s Pay Range 1B (£13.47 per hour)

10 hours p/w, term time plus 1 additional week

Hours are Monday - Friday 11.30am-13.30pm

We are currently recruiting into our busy catering department here at St. Paul’s, to support the preparation, service and delivery of food internally and externally. We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team preparing and serving school lunches for primary and secondary aged children. Initially you will be required to work at one of our customer schools, Bow Brickhill Primary School. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a busy kitchen, will have some experience of preparing meals, making sandwiches and serving food.
