This is an exciting opportunity to join our Nursing Home as a Catering Assistant.

As part of the Catering Team, your responsibilities will include assisting in preparing high-quality food and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents. The role involves 38 hours per week, worked as four 9.5-hour shifts between 7.00 and 19.00, on a seven-day rota basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Chef and catering staff in managing and delivering catering services.
• Work a 38-hour week on a 7-day rota, daytime shifts only.
• Prepare nutritious food and beverages to a high standard.
• Prepare special dietary meals as needed.
• Assist in cost-effective stock control to minimize waste.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including waste disposal and washing crockery and cutlery.
