A leading NHS Trust is seeking enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join their Catering Department across three hospitals. Candidates should have a Foundation Food Hygiene Certificate and experience in a food environment. The role includes food preparation, cleaning, and patient feeding responsibilities with a strong emphasis on customer service.
We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our fantastic Catering Department. You will be enthusiastic and will relish being a part of this dynamic team, delivering a high-quality service that puts our patients and customers first.
You should have working knowledge of a busy food environment, and ideally hold your Foundation Food Hygiene Certificate. Full training and support will be provided during induction.

You will be required to undertake a wide range of duties including food preparation, cleaning, and supporting patient feeding at ward level. You should possess excellent customer service skills and preferably have experience within the catering industry. You will also be responsible for completing audit forms related to food safety and procedures.
We operate from three main hospitals:
In addition, we serve a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and RLI offer a range of general hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units, and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides general hospital services along with an Urgent Treatment Centre for non-life-threatening conditions such as minor injuries and illnesses.
All three hospitals provide planned care services, including outpatient diagnostics, therapies, day cases, and inpatient surgery. We also offer outreach services and diagnostics across the Morecambe Bay area.
