Job Summary

To work as a team member within the Catering Department with a flexible approach. To assist in the preparation and service of food for patients, staff, and visitors, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the department.

Main Duties

1. Undertake food service to patients, staff, and visitors.
2. Ensure presentation, portion control, temperature control, and food quality standards are met.
3. Prepare snacks, salads, and other food items required for sale.
4. Carry out cleaning of floors, surfaces, and equipment in the kitchen and dining areas.
5. Replenish stock items from catering stores, involving manual handling and lifting.
6. Attend training sessions as directed by the Food and Beverage Manager.
7. Check refrigerator temperatures and maintain records.
8. Dispose of catering waste following departmental policy, including operation of waste disposal units.
9. Be flexible to work in various areas such as the central kitchen, stores, or restaurant.
10. Operate equipment following training, such as dishwashers, fryers, ovens, and sandwich makers.
