Overview

Job Title: Catering Assistant

Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour

Contract: Permanent • Type of Employment: Part Time

Location: Russells Hall Hospital, Pensnett Road, Dudley, West Midlands, England, DY12HQ

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including setting up furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and other catering equipment.
  • Daily cleaning of all catering areas.
  • Undertake additional training as provided by the employer.
  • Cash collection and banking, maintain records and procedures, and undertake key holding responsibilities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate regularly with customers, managers and colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Previous catering experience in a similar environment is desirable, but not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Basic Food Hygiene and basic Health and Safety certificates are desirable, but not essential.
  • Adept numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability, attention to detail, willingness to take on different tasks, hardworking and confident demeanor, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
