Job summary

Amey Ltd. is seeking a Permanent Catering Assistant for Craigour Park Primary School in Edinburgh. The role is 12 hours per week during term time, Monday to Thursday, 11am–2pm, supporting meals preparation and service on the school account.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, with strong customer service, a positive work ethic, and a willingness to learn and support others in a busy school kitchen environment. PVG checks apply.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Catering Assistant on Our Edinburgh schools’ contract in Craigour Park Primary school, 100 Moredun Park Rd, Edinburgh EH17 7HL

12 Hours Per week (Shift pattern term time only Monday to Thursday 11am till 2pm)

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.

What you will do:

  • Basic preparation of food and drinks Preparation of vegetables and snacks.
  • Simple cooking of food (including the heating and/or reconstitution of convenience foods and vegetables)
  • Transportation and serving of meals (including the packing and unpacking of food into containers)
  • Washing up and clearing away equipment
  • Cleaning of the kitchen, its surrounds and the equipment
