Job summary

RE Personnel is seeking a Catering Assistant on an ongoing temporary basis near Cheltenham. The role involves assisting in the kitchen, heating and plating simple dishes, and serving customers when required.

Shifts run 11am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with pay at £12.71 per hour. This temporary position offers weekly pay and continuity through November, December and into the new year.

Own transport recommended due to limited public transport in the area.

Qualifications

• Valid Level 2 Food Safety certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in a kitchen, catering or food environment.

Responsibilities

• Heating and plating up simple food such as jacket potatoes, pasta bakes, fish and chips and salads.
• Displaying food ready for service and assisting with serving customers when required.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
• Cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces, including loading the dishwasher and washing up.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team with general duties as required.

Our client, a well-established business within the food and catering industry, based on the outskirts of Cheltenham, has an exciting new opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join their kitchen team on an ongoing temporary basis, with shifts available throughout November, December and into the new year.

The successful Catering Assistant should have:

• A valid Level 2 Food Safety certificate, or be willing to obtain one
• Previous experience within a kitchen, catering or food environment
• A friendly, reliable and hardworking attitude
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently
• Own transport due to the limited public transport in the area
