Barnsley College has several canteens and food outlets to cater for our students, staff and visitors. We are now looking for additional Catering Assistants to join our growing Catering Services department and work across our central campuses.

£20,249 pro rata (£12,427 per annum)
We are looking for a Catering Assistant who is passionate about providing a great service for our students and who thrives in a busy working environment. This is a fast paced, varied role where you will work in small groups to ensure timely food preparation and service.
Our new Catering Assistant will be expected to assist in the daily running of their respective canteen or food outlet, ensuring areas are clean and tidy. You will support colleagues to maintain high professional standards, communicating with all staff and students in a polite and professional manner. This role will involve some cash handling and the use of a till whilst serving customers, so accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
