Job description

Ridgemount Care Home is a warm and compassionate facility dedicated to providing exceptional support to our residents. We believe that good food is essential for well-being, and we are seeking a talented Catering Assistant to join our team in creating nourishing and delightful dining experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Meal Preparation: Work closely with our Head Chef to prepare delicious and nutritious meals.
2. Dining Room Setup: Arrange tables, chairs, and place settings to prepare for meal services.
3. Food Service: Serve meals to residents, ensuring correct portions and accommodating dietary requirements and preferences.
4. Post-Meal Cleanup: Clear tables promptly, dispose of food waste, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
5. Crockery and Cutlery Care: Wash and maintain crockery, cutlery, and utensils.
6. Hygiene and Safety: Follow hygiene protocols, keep work areas clean and organized, and report safety concerns promptly.

Required knowledge & experience:

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH
• Experience working with older people
