Job summary

Nottingham College is seeking an Apprentice Catering Assistant to join our catering team as an ‘all-rounder’. You will cook for learners and staff, and serve on the refectory counter, gaining hands-on experience across front-of-house and kitchen duties.

The role includes training in event preparation and barista skills, with development opportunities and a proactive, detail-focused team. Interviews planned for week commencing 24 August 2026.

What you'll do and who we're looking for

We are looking for an Apprentice Catering Assistant who will be an ‘all-rounder’ within our catering team. The successful candidate will have a willingness to learn, cooking for both our learners and staff members. This role will also provide the opportunity to utilise any customer service experience you may be able to bring as you will serve on our counter within the refectory.

The role will also provide training and development opportunities for event preparation and barista skills. The successful candidate will bring enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, proactivity, attention to detail and flexibility.
