Role Overview:

Asda is seeking a Trade Planning Manager to join our Trade Planning & Category Strategy teams. This full-time, permanent role involves supporting our journey towards ASDA price and range simplification. The role is ideal for candidates with a background in buying or marketing, focusing on owning trade plans and developing category strategies across all channels and formats.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Partner with buyers and business units to develop trade plans and category strategies.
  2. Act as the main contact with the customer team to implement strategic trade briefs across channels.
  3. Use analytics and insights to build effective trade plans aligned with growth objectives.
  4. Ensure legal and compliance messages are communicated effectively.
  5. Develop strategic plans for space and range as part of the category strategy.
  6. Manage post-launch reviews for range changes and promotions.
  7. Collaborate with marketing coordinators on wider initiatives.
About You:
  • Experience in buying, category management, or trade planning.
  • Ability to work independently and within a matrix team structure.
  • Experience with customer data analysis to inform plans.
  • Strong administrative skills and deadline management.
  • Conflict resolution skills, especially with senior team members.
  • Influence across different levels of the business.
Work Environment & Benefits:
