The role

Job title: Category Planner - P&A

Job type: Full time, Permanent

Location: Milton Keynes (UK), Madrid (Spain), Harderwijk (Netherlands), Dubendorf (Switzerland), or Johannesburg (South Africa) with hybrid working opportunities

Reports to: EMEA Forecasting Director

Key accountabilities

  • Preparation of accurate sales and purchasing forecasts using John Galt software package
  • Setup and maintenance of part numbers
  • Preparation of vendor orders, placing of orders, and associated follow-up
  • Maintenance of orders in JDE and associated adjustments
  • Arranging stock transfers to fill shortfalls
  • Liaison with Product Managers for information on forthcoming products
  • Monitoring sales figures and investigating anomalies
  • Point of contact for Sales & Marketing and warehousing questions regarding product and availability
  • Notifying European P&A champions of developments related to in-situ orders

About you:

  • Advanced computer skills with all elements of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Attention to detail, numerate and analytical
  • Able to work effectively, self-sufficiently, and as part of cross-functional teams
  • Passionate about all aspects of the cycling environment is desirable but not essential
  • Ideally previous experience of purchasing, supply chain, and/or sales environment (preferably but not limited to within the bicycle industry)
  • Willing to travel
