Your new role The Category Manager will strategically manage a given area of spend within the organisation, and will deliver optimal value for money and efficiencies through effective procurement processes.
Working closely with the Senior Category Manager, you will support with category strategies and managing national, high-value contracts and initiatives.
The Category Manager will proactively build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to establish business needs and specifications, and will manage the end-to-end procurement and tendering process to deliver on these requirements.
You will strive to deliver cost savings in line with business targets, whilst mitigating risks across the supply chain.
Post-award, you will manage contract performance with suppliers and ensure that they are adhering to SLAs and agreed KPIs.
This role is offered on a remote basis with an occasional requirement to travel to the Leeds office or supplier sites for important meetings.
