Title: Category Manager (Procurement)

Sector: Manufacturing

Location: Scunthorpe / Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days from home)

Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with an exceptional manufacturing business who are an industry leader and household name.

This role sits within the Procurement function, which is central to driving cost efficiency, supplier performance, and end-to-end category management. They are looking for a procurement professional to help drive the function forward and improve the already strong foundations.

You'll be part of a team focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and stakeholder collaboration, reporting to and working closely with other procurement professionals in the team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category-specific sourcing strategies
• Manage tenders and supplier proposals (e.g., RFI, RFP, e-sourcing)
• Engage with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business needs
• Monitor vendor performance and manage supplier relationships
• Ensure full compliance with internal procedures

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience from any industry across a range of direct and indirect categories
• Familiarity with strategic sourcing and tendering processes
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement abilities
• CIPS or working towards (beneficial but not essential)
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing complex information
