At evoke plc, we are seeking a highly motivated Category Manager for Technology & COO. This role covers various subcategories, including hardware and software requirements across cloud infrastructure, data centres, network security, end-user computing, IT services, telecommunications, data and analytics, AI, and ML.

You will support compliance, risk, fraud prevention, and customer operations. Your main responsibility is to manage the Technology and COO supply base and assist the Head of Category in achieving business and procurement objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end procurement processes for the Technology category to ensure compliance and deliver value.
  • Leading procurement initiatives through collaboration and strategic insight, acting as a trusted advisor to the business.
  • Developing and executing a robust category strategy based on spend analysis, market trends, and business needs.
  • Monitoring supplier performance against KPIs and seeking opportunities for innovation.
  • Leading sourcing activities, including RFPs, negotiations, and supplier selection.
  • Achieving cost savings, mitigating risks, ensuring compliance, and delivering value through best procurement practices.
  • Managing key supplier relationships to ensure quality, service, and SLAs, with regular performance reviews and a focus on collaboration and innovation.
  • Monitoring contract performance, addressing issues promptly, and maintaining high stakeholder satisfaction.

Ideal candidate profile:

We value candidates who support responsible gambling and possess:

  • Strong knowledge of contractual clauses and sourcing/category management best practices.
  • Proven achievements in Procurement, preferably with tech industry experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; membership of CIPS (MCIPS) is advantageous.
