Description

Do you have recent procurement experience of supporting marketing and print? We’re seeking a Category Manager - Marketing and Print to join our Procurement team. You’ll be responsible for managing and implementing the UK and Ireland (UK&I) Procurement strategy to the agreed scope, using the Category Management Processes and in accordance with the appropriate RACI defined with the team.

You’ll be generating increased efficiency, compliance with FCA/PRA requirements and reduced cost and adherence to best practice. This role will give you a great opportunity to contribute toward and develop our business functions to ensure supplier relationships adhere to FCA/PRA compliance and business risk is mitigated.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with internal stakeholders to gather, assess and challenge business requirements aiming to preserve relationships and achieve the right overall commercial result.
  • Coordinate delivery of the process/initiative, leading to establishment of best in class, policy, process, or service.
  • Build the Category Strategy when it is not supported by a Global Category Manager and deliver this solution.
  • Manage delivery of UK&I Procurement process, policy and procedures (e.g. RFP, RFI, etc.) in accordance with local and Group requirements.
  • Negotiate and implement contracts for AXA-UK Categories and ensure their compliance to the agreed service, performance, quality and delivery levels by proactively managing commercial and contractual risk with third party suppliers.
  • Understand the budget approach (by type of expenses, contract, supplier) with Finance and business budget owner to ensure comprehension of budget definition, utilisation, optimisation and compliance.
  • Utilising Procurement tools and best practice to increase efficiency and the quality of delivery contributing to Procurement savings and KPI objectives.

What you’ll bring:

  • You’ll have recent procurement experience in marketing and print.
  • You’ll be a team player, who’s focussed on ensuring the success and respect of the procurement team across the different functions.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
