At LSEG, we're looking for a Category Manager for our Infrastructure & Cloud Category, with a focus on management of our Cloud Service Providers and associated services.
Group Procurement is responsible for third-party supplier engagements and business partnerships to drive high-performing and sustainable value from our supplier relationships. We aim to make LSEG easier and more attractive to do business with, viewing our suppliers as a source of competitive advantage, not just about cost.
We operate a business partnering and supplier relationship management (SRM) model, aligned with business groups and spend categories, ensuring value through early and strategic engagement and informative vendor spend analytics.
Some key characteristics of the new Group Procurement organisation:
The purpose of this role is to create, develop, and deliver a "best in class" procurement service, delivering year-on-year benefits in innovation, speed, quality, efficiency, risk mitigation, and cost reduction.
This role is within the Technology tower, supporting spend of c.£400m annually, focusing on Cloud, Mainframe, Compute, Databases, and Infrastructure software.
The activities are global, including managing third-party suppliers, sourcing, vendor strategy, and category roadmap, with an emphasis on Cloud Service Providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
The role involves collaboration with the wider procurement team to support strategy and transformation, with no direct budget or reports.
Key interfaces include senior management, category teams, procurement centres, finance, legal, and business partners.
Key responsibilities include:
Essential skills and experience include procurement expertise in technology, especially Cloud providers, contract negotiation, risk management, stakeholder influence, and relevant qualifications. Desirable skills include procurement qualifications like MCIPS and experience in regulated environments.
