About The Role

The Category Development Manager owns multiple product categories across key customers, driving strategic growth initiatives at a corporate level and developing specific strategies aligned with organizational goals. The role involves managing key off-trade beer accounts and supporting broader category functions with on-trade and distilling activities. It requires cross-functional collaboration across sales, on-trade, distilling, and the wider category team.

KEY RESULT AREAS / DUTIES:

  • Develop category strategies for each account to achieve financial growth.
  • Analyze complex data outputs into actionable performance results.
  • Facilitate sales objectives with customers.
  • Present complex information clearly and effectively.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS - INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL:

Internal: Sales Director, Sales Channel Heads, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Distilling, Trade Marketing.

External: Customer Sales teams, Space Planning, Media & Marketing Partners, Data Contract Partners.

HEALTH & SAFETY:

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and fire regulations.
  • Follow safe working practices and complete required training.
  • Take reasonable care for your own and others’ health and safety.

GENERAL:

  • Adhere to BrewDog policies and workplace code.
  • Participate in reviews and cooperate across departments.

About You

EXPERIENCE: Significant experience in Category & Insights functions, with a proven record of revenue growth and customer planning.

KNOWLEDGE: Deep understanding of UK FMCG market, supply chain, and UK alcohol duty and taxation.

SKILLS: Proficiency with market data platforms (Circana, Iri, Nielsen), data systems (DunnHumby, Quantium), and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of space planning software.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: Strategic thinker, able to simplify complex ideas, objective, and capable of multi-dimensional thinking.
