THE ROLE

Communisis is seeking a Category Manager to join on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is open to UK residents with occasional travel to London. The office is located at Somerset House, with a requirement to visit approximately once a month, though this is flexible.

The Category Manager will develop and deliver, in collaboration with key stakeholders, a category strategy and plan to improve value and outcomes for Communisis and its clients. The successful candidate will define and share the procurement approach within the spend category, manage relationships with strategic suppliers, and drive value through leveraging these relationships, making Communisis the customer of choice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze category performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Manage inventory and pricing strategies for goods.
  • Develop partnerships with suppliers and retailers to accelerate growth and market share.
  • Provide insights to business stakeholders through spend analysis, supply market research, and savings initiatives to maximize benefits and reduce risks.
  • Analyze market trends and drive performance improvements.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 2-3 years vocational experience in marketing and procurement industries.
  • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in presenting to stakeholders and negotiating.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Category management experience, including knowledge of sourcing processes such as strategy development, tendering, negotiation, supplier performance management, value engineering, e-procurement, and P2P processes.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Experience working towards KPIs.
  • Pricing and supply chain analysis skills.
