About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Indirect (non IT) Category Manager with a strong background in multi entity category management to join the sourcing team. This role will focus on the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for both MS Amlin Business Services (ABS) and its customers, the other Amlin Legal Entities.

Your primary focus will be on procurement activity related to all indirect procurement categories with the exclusion of IT, responsible for delivering cost savings across the supplier base and creating commercial frameworks with suppliers to benefit the wider Amlin Group. You will maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver top-tier sourcing and supplier management services.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

  • Working with stakeholders to effectively manage Indirect (non IT) spend across the company and other Legal Entities, which will involve helping customers to define requirements, researching the supply market, running market exercises to select suppliers, negotiating commercial terms and putting appropriate contracts in place.
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for your category area, focusing on cost optimisation, supplier management, and risk mitigation.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, communicating complex procurement concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, maintaining high standards of integrity and accountability.
  • Fostering strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring reliable supply chains.

  • Experience of working in a complex multi-entity environment that is undergoing significant change
  • Have a demonstrable record of delivering value for money and best in class commercial services across top tier Indirect vendors.
  • Strong intellectual and analytical abilities

What Can You Expect From Us?

  • Performance Related Discretionary Bonus
  • Holiday: 28 days core annual leave, and you can buy up to 5 days
  • Pension: A minimum 2% employee contribution plus 7% MS Amlin contribution (9%) up to a maximum of 5% employee contribution plus 13% MS Amlin contribution (18%)
