A leading company in the food industry is seeking a passionate Category Manager to oversee high-quality FMCG baked goods. This hybrid role involves managing relationships with major UK retailers and requires a strong background in the food sector. Category Manager
Are you passionate about food? Looking for Category Manager, Food National Account Manager, Commercial Manager, or similar roles in food, grocery, FMCG, or retail?
This role involves high-quality FMCG baked goods (fine foods), dealing with large retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco, etc., managing brands with a commercial focus in grocery retail.
Must be a ‘foodie’ — passionate about food and its provenance, travel, and different cultures.
The company has a £50 million turnover and supplies fine foods to Harrods, Tesco, Waitrose, M&S, and others.
Are you experienced in the Food, Beverage, or FMCG industry, with good experience dealing with large UK retailers? Are you passionate about food and eager to make a difference in a newly created role? Requirements for this Senior Food Industry Category Manager role
We are flexible regarding your background; we may consider a Category Manager, Brand Manager, Commercial Manager, National Account Manager, or Key Account Manager who understands driving growth with UK retailers.
You MUST be a foodie — passionate and inquisitive about food. The company values this passion, especially regarding provenance, travel, and cultural diversity.
You MUST have experience working with UK retailers, ideally in food, but we are open to wider FMCG or beverage experience.
Strong category management experience or understanding is preferred.
Key qualities include desire, passion, inquisitiveness, and innovation — always seeking to challenge and improve.
Part-time candidates (e.g., 4 days a week) may be considered.
The candidate should be innovative, proactive, and value-driven, always looking to add value.

This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days in the Coventry office and 2 days remote. Suitable regions include Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull, Warwick, Rugby, Worcester, Leamington Spa, Leicester, and the West Midlands.
