Category Management Specialist - Professional Services

A bit about the job:

The purpose of the role is to maximise value through the end-to-end commercial management of Aviva’s key suppliers and associated third-party spend, building and delivering category plans and driving value from the supply chain. You’ll meet agreed commercial targets for the category – including delivery of balanced cost reductions – and be accountable for managing all relevant category or sub-category spend. You will collaborate with and challenge where appropriate the various functions to ensure a holistic procurement strategy and plan is executed. Effective stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills are essential for success in this role.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven expertise in commercial and stakeholder management, driving positive relationships and results.
  • Extensive experience leading and managing end-to-end sourcing processes for optimized outcomes.
  • Skilled in developing and negotiating high-value agreements that deliver maximum value.
  • Strong background in Category Management, strategically aligning procurement with business goals.
  • CIPS qualification, degree, or equivalent is highly desirable, showcasing a dedication to professional excellence.

  • Starting salary circa £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
