Category Buying Manager opportunity to join a fast-paced, procurement organisation renowned for their innovative procurement solutions.

Exciting opportunity alert! Join a leading procurement business specialising in innovative services for the foodservice and hospitality industries. As a Category Buying Manager, you’ll oversee a significant spend area in either the soft drinks or impulse categories – shaping the strategies and driving growth for key clients in these dynamic sectors.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop relationships with key suppliers that promote efficient ways of working with an innovative and strategic approach
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services meet the quality, service, and price required
  • Full awareness of market trends identifying opportunities to develop ranges and excite our customers.
  • Ensure a safe supply chain for employees, clients, and consumers
  • Retention activities related to categories, suppliers, and products within assigned portfolios

You will need the following:

  • Strong Category procurement or National Account Management experience within the Impulse or soft beverage sector
  • Retail buying experience
  • Experience of complex supplier, distributor and client management
  • Strong decision maker, with good commercial acumen who is comfortable working under pressure
  • Solid analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to make effective decisions
  • A collaborative team player that brings people together to deliver results
  • Strategic thinker who can demonstrate impact and influence across an organisation
  • A “Can Do” attitude to resolve issues and take learnings to drive ongoing Continuous Improvement

The role offers a couple of days a week working from home, but candidates should live within a reasonable commute of the office in Central London.
