Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + Package - Excellent Progression Opportunities

Are you a procurement professional eager to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment? I am excited to be recruiting for a Procurement Category Buyer to manage multiple projects within the equipment and CAPEX procurement space for an iconic quick-service restaurant brand.

This role is crucial for optimizing costs, enhancing supplier performance, and supporting development projects. With operations across multiple markets in Europe, they are committed to quality and innovation, continuously expanding and enhancing their operations. As part of this global organization, the aim is to deliver exceptional customer experiences while driving operational efficiency through strategic sourcing and procurement excellence.

Procurement Category Buyer responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage multiple projects across indirect categories, with a focus on equipment and CAPEX category to improve efficiency and return on investment. You will be involved from a procurement perspective in the entire process of opening new restaurants, from identifying new locations to acquiring land and overseeing the complete fit-out process.
2. Develop and execute procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and payback periods.
3. Manage key supplier relationships, ensuring strong performance and contract compliance.
4. Partner with internal teams, including the Design Centre of Excellence, to ensure procurement aligns with commercial goals.
5. Analyse supplier and contract performance to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
6. Contribute to the development of the long-term category strategy, integrating internal and external market factors.
7. Support risk management initiatives by identifying potential procurement risks and developing mitigation strategies.
8. Monitor and enforce supplier compliance with quality, financial, and operational KPIs.

The Procurement Category buyer must have:

1. End to end procurement expertise – comfortable devising and executing category strategies autonomously.
2. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and innovative mindset.
3. Ability to extract meaningful insights from data analysis and translate them into strategic actions. Advanced excel skills are essential.
