Role Description

The Category Buyer role at Surya Foods involves responsibility for all procurement and purchasing activities. Experience in cross-functional buying such as Frozen, Ambient, Chilled, Beverages, etc., and familiarity with World Foods is advantageous.

This is a full-time on-site role located in Harwich, England, with hybrid options considered for the right candidate.

The Category Buyer will collaborate with other departments to ensure relevant goods are ordered, delivered on time, and at optimal costs, while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Category Buying role with a proven track record of negotiation and purchasing
• Experience with World Foods is advantageous
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Experience with Program Theoretical Optimal Price (T.O.P) management techniques is a plus
